I normally would not go for a style like this at all, but I was attending a comedy show with my best friend in which the performer called for attendees to dress in “black tie”. Being at a stage of 30 months postpartum, unable to lose the weight, and feeling wide everywhere, I really dreaded having to find something to wear to this show and pushed it off until a few days before. I bought this dress, fully expecting I would be unable to get it on and would be forced to return it (and be left with nothing to wear to the show) but instead was pleasantly surprised.I love that it provides more coverage at the top than you would normally find in an evening dress, and the fit is very flattering. The slit in the front makes it a little more fun! It has just the right amount of stretch that I was very comfortable (I forgot to bring undies to the hotel that night and had to go without and still felt covered and comfortable…lol). I ordered a 2 (actually my size pre-baby) thinking it would be a big mistake, but it truly seemed to be the right size for me. I also love the fact that this dress calls for minimal accessories.This dress is definitely long as other reviewers said and if I had allowed more time, I would have had it hemmed, but the issue was mostly addressed by wearing a taller pair of heels.My only concern is when taking it on and off, I noticed a lot of the tiny sequins “shedding” off the dress and all over the floor. I’m not sure if this is due to the type of sequins used or if they truly aren’t attached well. I am anxious to see how it holds up with dry cleaning.I’m so happy that I found this and can’t wait to wear it again for a wedding next month.Love the dress of this copper/brassy gold sequin dress. the gorgeous hem makes it hard to get hemmed. The sequins go in all directions, so if you want a cleaner look, you’ll have to swipe them all down in the same direction.Dress Can be shortened, but it’s expensive b/c the hemming has to go all the way around to front , and it’s internal stitch hem with the lining. I just wore large rose gold heels.Do not care for the lining. It could’ve been a softer silkier color.
