This past year I decided to try sleeveless jerseys for my warm weather rides and in spin class where the temperature always seems to be ramped up. I have to say that it definitely was a good choice for me. Most cycling clothing seems to be cut for people with smaller frames. I however do not have a smaller frame so quite often I find that jerseys that fit my torso are very tight/constricting on my shoulders and upper arms. Or if they fit comfortably on my shoulders and upper arms they're baggy around my body. Sleeveless jerseys take that shoulder constriction out of the mix for me so I can buy jerseys that fit my body and not worry about the shoulders.I've purchased two types of Pearl Izumi sleeveless jerseys now and as with all Pearl Izumi clothing the higher up you go in terms of price the more the snugger the fit becomes. Lower priced gear tends to be more stretchy and cut more roomy. The Elite series though is not cut roomy, it's a very athletic cut but very comfortable just the same. The full length zipper on this jersey is a major plus in my book. I have multiple jerseys that are half zips and when you're exhausted and dripping in sweat they can seem like they are nearly impossible to peel off. The full length zipper on this though makes it a breeze to take off no matter how exhausted I am.As a previous reviewer noted the electronics pocket on the back is not large enough to hold an iPhone with or without a case on it. If you carry a small feature phone or an iPod nano you'll probably be able to tuck it in there. If you are looking to step up the quality of your gear and have broad shoulders then I would recommend this jersey.I purchased this jersey in a size large. Because of my shoulders I have to buy 44 regular when purchasing suits though my torso fits well into 42 regular but then I can't move my shoulders...I looked around different local bike stores and tried on a number of sleeveless jerseys, and also read a number of reviews here on Amazon. I was not as impressed with the cheaper Pearl jersey, feeling it was a bit long and loose. I found this jersey to be a great fit. If you want to go extreme racing fit, order a size smaller. I wanted a comfortable but tight fit, and the sizing is true to form. I found the three rear pockets ample and the additional zip pocket useful for my keys. So after trialing my first jersey in 93 degree humid heat, I felt this jersey was able to whisk moisture away. Got rid of my farmers tan and I went back and bought a second in a different color. You get what you pay for. While this jersey may cost slightly more, you will not be disappointed and may just come back for another. As someone who cycles about 27 hours a week, I want cycling clothing that is of the highest quality, fits great, looks great, and is backed by a great factory warranty. PI has broken the code on all of these criteria. The jersey is an aero fit which is what I like, and is made with obvious attention to detail. PI will replace any garment that fails with no questions asked. In my cycling book, "From Broken Neck to Broken Records, a Masters Cyclist's Guide to Winning," I have a chapter on my favorite cycling products. I chose PI as my favorite cycling clothing and almost exclusively (except for racing where I utilize a skin suit that has shown to be the fastest in the wind tunnel) wear their products on my daily rides. You won't be disappointed. I purchased the black one, and I intend to order a couple of more colors. You won't be disappointed.I bought this because rowing shirts have no pockets, and sculls don't really have any storage space. Now I put my boathouse keycard and car key in the zipper back pocket, and some This sleeveless jersey is awesome, I like the fact that it keeps you dry and cool. The jersey is put together very well, it contains 3 back pockets large enough to put a wallet, keys, or even your cell..the only issue I found was the size(you will need to get a size up bc they run small). This jersey was a great purchase. I prefer the freedom during hot rides, and the form-fitting style makes it very comfortable. Others have commented that it accentuates your form; this is 100% accurate. I wore it on a 160-mile bike ride and couldn't be more happier with the performance. The zipped pocket is a nice touch, although I don't usually use it. While a little expensive, I would recommend to anyone looking for a sleeveless jersey. The sizing is spot-on, I always fit the best in Medium jerseys and shirts, and this Sleeveless jersey fits perfectly. The form fit is great and I love the quality of the pockets. The material is outstanding as it does a great job of wicking sweat and ventilating my upper body.Overall: 5/5 starsI am 5'11"and weigh 170 pounds. I purchased the large jersey. It fits snug and comfortably. I have used it for both racing and training. The higher neck is comfortable and can be used with cooler weather underneath something warmer. The color combination is stylish and makes a subtle statement.
